Syndicate Bank, a Premier Public Sector Bank, invites application from Indian citizens for the posts of Probationary Officers, Probationary Officers (Rural Development), Security Officers, Technical Officers (Civil & Electrical), Information technology Officers, Probationary Clerks.
Separate application form with requisite fee for each post applied for should be sent.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India of ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of Bhutan of iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently setting in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Eat African counties of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar,), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the Government of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her/
- Age Limit (As on 01.01.2008):
- Probationary Officers: Minimum : 21 years and Maximum: 30 years,
- Prob. Officers (Rural Development): Minimum: 21 years and Maximum: 30 Years
- Security Officers: Minimum: 21 years and Maximum : 30 Years
- Technical Officers: Minimum : 21 years and Maximum : 30 years
- IT Officers MMGS-III: Minimum : 21 Years and Maximum : 35 years
- IT Officers MMGS-II: Minimum: 21 years and Maximum: 32 Years
- Probationary Clerks: Minimum: 18 years and Maximum: 28 years
Note: An ex-serviceman who has once joined a government job on the civil side after availing of the benefits given to him as an ex-serviceman for his re-employment, including a job in Public Sector Undertaking ceases to enjoy ex-serviceman status for further employment.
In the case of candidate who is eligible for relaxation under more than one of the above categories, the age relaxation will be available on cumulative, basis with any one of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above. This cumulative age relaxation is available to SC/ST/OBC candidates only.
All person eligible for age relaxation under 2 (v) above must produce the domicile certificate at the time of interview from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided or any other authority designed in this regard by Govt. of J & K to the effect that the candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of J & K during 1st Jan. 1980 and the 31st day of December 1989.
The Children/ Family members of those who dies in the 1984 riots will be given due consideration.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND POST QUALIFICATION:
Post code no. 01 : PROBATIONARY OFFICERS (JMGS-I):
Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognised University with atleast 60% marks in aggregate (First Class) and computer science covering MS Word, MS Office, MS Excel, MS Access. etc., as one of the subjects at the degree/ PG level OR MCA with atleast 60% Marks in aggregate (First Class) OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B. Tech) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (First Class) with Computer knowledge OR Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognised University with atleast 60% marks in aggregate (First Class) and any one of the following computer qualification:
- Diploma in Computer Operations from NIIT, SSI, Aptech, MICE, STQC, CMC
- GNIIT from NIIT
- DOEACC Courses/ Certification (O,A,B,C Level)
In the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH, minimum qualifying marks will be 55% in aggregate, other conditions remaining the same.
Post Code No. 02: PROBATIONARY OFFICERS RURAL DEVELOPMENT (JMGS-I):
- Candidates should be a Post Graduate in Agriculture/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Agri Marketing./ Horticulture.
- Candidates should have a good academic background and should have cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of atleast 3.00 out of 4 or equivalent, if CGPA is 5 or more.
- Candidates should know to read, write and speak the language of the state in which they are seeking appointment and should be ready to stay and serve in rural areas in any part of the country.
Post Code No. 03: Security Officers (JMGS-I):
A degree in any discipline or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years commissioned service in the Army, Navy, Air Force or a Police Officer not below the rank of ASP/DSP with 5 years service or Officers of Indentical rank in para mlitary forces with 5 years of completed service.
Post code No. 04: Technical Officers (JMGS-I):
Qualification & Experience: First Class Degree (Minimum 60% marks in aggregate) in Civil/ Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in construction Firms/ Companies and should have handled Project execution.
Post Code No. 05: Information Technology Officers (MMGS-III):
Qualification & Experience: BE/B.Tech in Electronics/ Computer/ Information Science Telecommunication or M.SC in Computers or MCA or MBA (Systems ) with a minimum of 5 years experience in the related filed in a Scheduled Commercial Bank/ financial Institution or Public/ private Sector Enterprise. Candidates Oracle. Candidates with specialization/ certification in Oracle DBA/ CISA/CISSP/CISM/CCNA/C/C++/VB are proffered.
Post Code No. 06: Information Technology Officers (MMGS-II):
Qualification & Experience: BE/B. Tech in Electronics/ Computer./ Information Science/ Telecommunication or M. SC in Computer of MCA or MBA (Systems ) with a minimum of 5 years experience in the related filed in a Scheduled Commercial Bank/ financial Institution or Public/ private Sector Enterprise.
